Parking in Cleveleys – Free, Long Stay and Seafront Parking Guide

Whether you live locally or love to visit, you’ll want to know about parking in Cleveleys.

Cleveleys is a very popular place and it does get very busy, both with local people and visitors. Find out where Pay and Display car parks are, seafront parking and where the free spaces are.

Pay and Display Parking

Wyre Council operates the Pay and Display car parks in Cleveleys. Find them in the town centre and at the seafront. These are all pay on entry car parks. You can pay with cash, card or via a parking app on your phone.

Derby Road – West and East

Derby Road is just off Rough Lea Road, opposite the bus station. It’s convenient for both the town centre and the seafront. There is long stay parking at both sides of the one-way street – Derby Road West is to the left (nearest the sea). Derby Road East is to the right (surrounded by the grass verge).

Long stay parking is the same reasonable price at both sides of the car park. Please find your space before paying as the machine will give you an East/West ticket which isn’t transferrable between the two.

Overnight parking is available, and space for larger vehicles (eg motorhomes). Vehicles can be parked overnight here, from 6pm to 8am for £2. Or up to 24 hours is £3.50 (to allow later removal). However, it cannot be used as overnight accommodation.

If you are looking for overnight accommodation, overnight campervan parking is available on Central car park near the Marine Hall at Fleetwood – this includes access to a toilet, sink and sluice facilities for £5 overnight.

Coach parking is also available towards the rear of Derby Road East car park, next to the Community Centre.

Rough Lea Road

Rough Lea Road is the nearest/biggest car park to Cleveleys town centre. Find it at the rear of Iceland (formerly Tesco). An alley at the side of New Look provides easy access on foot straight into the town centre.

Jubilee Gardens

Jubilee Gardens is a long stay car park with reasonably priced parking. It’s ideally placed for your day out at Cleveleys, just across the road from the beach and seafront, near to the toilets and children’s water play area at the seafront cafe.

Please note that it is closed at the moment while the space is being used as a compound for the Wyre Beach Management Scheme.

North Promenade

There is a short stay car park at North Promenade Cleveleys, with parking up to a maximum stay of 2 hours. It’s a great spot, next to the seafront cafe which was used as a filming location for the Andor Star Wars series!

These pay and display car parks are all managed by Wyre Council. Get more information about car parks in Cleveleys from www.wyre.gov.uk.

Princes Way

The boundary of Cleveleys with Blackpool is at Kingsway. That’s where the small utilities building is at the seafront, near to the Shipwreck memorial.

The newly rebuilt promenade at Princes Way, Anchorsholme, falls within the Blackpool Council area. Pay and display parking is now in operation along that stretch. But it is long stay and within walking distance of Cleveleys – with a beautiful view of the sea and beach.

Residents Parking Permits

Cleveleys is in the borough of Wyre, so if you are a resident you might also wish to purchase a residents parking permit. It entitles you to park for up to three hours a day, free of charge in nominated Wyre Council pay and display car parks all over Wyre. Get them from Wyre Council, you can apply online.

Free Parking

There is free on-street parking all around Cleveleys town centre.

Victoria Road West/Town Centre

There are selected parking bays along the main shopping street which is Victoria Road West.

Heading inland from the tramway, Victoria Road West is two way. There are free on-street parking bays here, on both sides of the road. There is also free on-street parking on side streets off Victoria Road West at both sides of the tramway.

South Promenade

There are free on-street parking bays on South Promenade against the sea wall.

  1. Visited clevelys and there were new parking signs saying you had to buy a ticket we got a parking fine PCN. We just paid for it!

  2. Was a frequent visitor to Cleveleys , but won’t be visiting from now on due to the disabled parking situation.
It is my understanding that the blue badge allows you free on street parking in most boroughs, which with a mobility issue is an absolute godsend.
However in Cleveleys your on street parking relates only to designated disabled parking bays, which are very few and far between. Rather than take the gamble on finding somewhere to park, I will now avoid the area. If the intention is to kill off Cleveleys all together, well done it’s working.

    1. Paul, on-street parking is the same in Cleveleys as it is everywhere. It’s only the car parks where you need to pay for a disabled space.

My husband has a blue badge but in Cleveleys it’s impossible too park. The car parks you have to pay As if life isn’t difficult enough So we cannot go to Cleveleys either

  3. Mr P Cookson Me and my wife came to cleveleys town to shop as my wife is disabled we parked in a disabled spot on our return found a parking fine £25 it the last time we’ll be coming back to cleveleys
    Disgusting

  4. We visited clevelys and there was new parking signs saying you had to buy a ticket as well as displaying a disable badge so clevelys will see us no more gone down hill fast

Told by a lovely traffic warden Even if you display your Blue Badge On car parks You have to pay but not on the street Good Luck with that as there’s no parking places Always full of cars

We went this week and the posts in front of us said you needed a valid blue badge and a parking ticket If it says different on the machine fair enough but as a disabled person that has trouble standing long enough to get to machine and stand there reading it, it is definitely a poor show. Please put this on the posts in front of the disabled bays if this is the case

  6. So have you got an app that disabled, wheelchair users, can download and use? I don’t mind paying but unless you have some form of app to pay via this won’t work for me. Wheelchair users have to assemble the chair, get the kids out, lock car, purchase ticket, wheel ourselves back to car with kids, place ticket in car and then go on are way. If peeing it down I’ll be wet through before I even start. Come on guys sort it out!!!

  7. Alan Crawshaw

We went to cleveleys today & found we need to pay for disabled I think that’s out ov order,We took a man of the floor because he fell out of his wheelchair going to the machine to pay it’s disgraceful.

    1. Really? This is taken from Wyre Council’s website “If you park in a designated disabled bay you can park free of charge for up to three hours, once per day on each car park only. You must clearly display your blue badge with the serial number and expiry date facing upwards, along with the clock set to the time of arrival.

If these bays are not available and you park anywhere else on the car park then blue badge holders must purchase a pay and display ticket and clearly display it in your vehicle.”
