The band is very pleased and privileged to be able to entertain people from all over Wyre and the Fylde coast. Normally they play at regular concerts and events throughout the year.
It’s a North West area, 3rd section band from just outside Blackpool.

Merry Christmas!

Very Well Done to Thornton Cleveleys Brass Band!
Thornton Cleveleys Brass Band became North West Regional 4th Section Champions in 2016.

The contest was held at the Winter Gardens on Sunday 28th February. A total of 15 bands in the section all played the same piece “The Journal of Phileas Fogg” by Peter Graham. The band fought off tough competition from bands from all over the North West to claim the top prize.
Next Stop: National Brass Band Championships
As a result the Band was invited to compete in the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain at Centaur, Cheltenham Racecourse. There, they competed with regional finalists from all over the country.
It’s a great opportunity for the Band and their highest contesting achievement since reforming in 1962.

What a lovely concert this afternoon in happy Mount Park.
I am not surprised that you had a lot of favourable feedback because everything was just perfect. No Star Wars & no John Williams ! Brilliant. What a treat. Even win the conductor’s ‘senior moment’ but I am sure you would be in good company with us.
The only thing I would point out was that the conductor didn’t really tell us anything about your band. We are nosey people in Morecambe and like to know your background although we are all very familiar with Cleveleys as it is such a nice little town.
Keep going and come again next year please. ?
