Top 10 Places to Drink in Cleveleys
In May 2026 we asked the Visit Cleveleys Facebook community for their favourite places to drink in Cleveleys. Here are the favourites, as recommended by you. Ranked according to how many mentions you gave each one:
Greedy Banker
Coming in at number one with the most mentions is one of Cleveleys newest bars, the Greedy Banker. Situated in the former HSBC Bank building at Cleveleys Square, this new bar is a modern addition to the towns entertainment scene. It’s a stylish new bar serving fine wines, signature cocktails, chilled beers, and fresh coffee. With live entertainment most weekends and Open Mic nights it’s definitely one to visit on your night out.
Backstage

With only one less mention, second place in our entirely unscientific poll goes to Backstage Cleveleys. On the sunny side of the street with outdoor seating, at the east of the Blackpool to Fleetwood tramway. Serving European beers, real ales, speciality wines and spirits, along with loads of live entertainment and bands. It’s a great place to go for a night (or an afternoon) out.
The Vault Bar and Lounge
Another old bank (once the Royal Bank of Scotland) at Cleveleys Square. The Vault Bar and Lounge is infused with live music, drinks and good times! Another venue offering live entertainment at weekends, bar snacks and even ice cream sundaes for sunny days. Enjoy the entertainment, atmosphere and sunshine!
Shipwreck Brewhouse

Bang in the centre of the main shopping area is the Shipwreck Brewhouse, AKA Dr Who’s Tardis! This micropub is much bigger than it seems – with plenty of outside seating, the main indoor bar area, the beer garden and The Cabin. Not only is there more physical space than you might think – this little bar offers a huge range of craft and speciality beers, ales and ciders. Plus hot drinks and a great food menu, available all day.

Little X and Travellers Rest
Votes were tied on this next spot in our Top 10 Places to Drink in Cleveleys, between the Little X and the Travellers Rest.
The Little X, proper name Cleveleys Ex Servicemen’s Club, is located opposite Princess Road Event Space. It’s a small bar with a great big personality! Enjoy loads of different live entertainment, games nights, bingo afternoons and much more.
The Travellers Rest is to be found at the seaward end of Beach Road, just off the promenade. It’s home to live music, laughs, quiz nights, karaoke chaos, plus a decent pint and good company.
The Venue, Wobblinn and Wetherspoons (Jolly Tars)
Three favourites for this next slot, one at the seafront and two almost-neighbours in the high street.
As the name suggests, The Venue is also home to seasonal events and live entertainment. Take a stroll northwards along the beautiful seafront as far as Jubilee Gardens, then enjoy a drink and an amazing view. Sample the outdoor terrace, lit by beautiful sunsets. It’s also a great location for your own private functions – parties, christenings, weddings and funerals.

Wobblinn is a micro pub, serving a vast variety of real ale, real cider, and spirits. On the sunny side of the street at the east of the Blackpool to Fleetwood tramway, it has an outdoor seating area and live entertainment at weekends.
Cleveleys Wetherspoons is called the Jolly Tars, after the towns original live entertainment troupe. Also at the east of the Blackpool to Fleetwood tramway, it’s across the road from Wobblinn. With everything you love about Wetherspoons, it’s a busy and immensely popular place to eat, drink and meet. It also has a large outdoor seating area.
The District and Cleveleys WMC
And rounding up our ‘best places to drink’ is one of Cleveleys newest bars – and one of it’s oldest.
The District is right on the cross roads at Cleveleys Square and opened in place of the NatWest Bank when they closed their doors in 2025. Owned by the people who own Backstage (and the Waterloo in Blackpool), it’s a lively, live entertainment bar and the place to be at weekends.
You’ll find Cleveleys WMC, also known as the ‘Top Club’, at Slinger Road, at the top side of Derby Road car park. Home to loads of live entertainment, bowling green, snooker room and a great bar. There’s always something happening here.
Best of the Rest
Decades
You’ll find Decades right in the centre of Cleveleys main shopping area, next door to the Shipwreck. It’s a unique retro cafe with a great menu and great music. It’s a place to relax and unwind, with an upstairs cocktail lounge bar. You can also sit outside at the front and enjoy the sunshine and continental atmosphere, often to the tunes of live musicians.
Dolce Blush
Dolce Blush is a stylish restaurant and café-bar in the heart of Cleveleys, bringing a contemporary Mediterranean-inspired dining experience to the town. Located on Bispham Road, the venue combines elegant surroundings with a relaxed atmosphere, serving a varied menu that includes breakfasts, brunch dishes, small plates, cocktails and freshly prepared mains. It’s modern décor and welcoming and a popular spot for everything from casual lunches and coffee catch-ups to evening meals and special occasions. It’s another vibrant dining option in Cleveleys’ growing food scene.
O’Connor’s Bar
This is a small cosy sports bar, tucked away off the beaten track. O’Connor’s Bar is a bit hard to find, but a treasure once you’ve found it! Head to the Blackpool side of the main cross roads at the centre of Cleveleys, and aim for the busy bus stop opposite The Crescent Buildings. Just at the side of the bus stop is an alley and O’Connor’s Bar is half way down this tiny side street, on the left hand side.
The Dickens
If you’re using the main long stay car parks at Derby Road, or the Bus Station, you can’t miss The Dickens Inn. It’s at Princess Road, overlooking the Bus Station, in a really handy place. There’s outdoor seating at the front and a great beer garden at the back. Showing live sports, you can even watch outside in the sunshine.
The Regal
The Regal Hotel is right at the centre of Cleveleys high street. With the entrance and bar areas off Victoria Road West, the hotel space and bedrooms occupies a large building above a number of central shops. The bar is home to live entertainment at weekends, plus karaoke.
The Tramway
Another well-known family pub and dining venue, first on the inland approach to Cleveleys town centre. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere and a tasty food menu, it’s a casual setting for breakfasts, lunches, evening meals and social gatherings. With spacious seating and a welcoming family-friendly environment.
