It’s one of the most frequently talked about chippies in Cleveleys and the Blackpool area. It’s also our local here at Visit Fylde Coast! Come inside and take a look at Kays Fish and Chips Cleveleys…
Kays Fish and Chips Cleveleys
- Find it at – 8 Rough Lea Road, Cleveleys, FY5 1DA
- Open hours are Monday – Sunday 11.30am – 7pm
- Please check before travelling
Takeaway and Eat-In Restaurant facilities are available at this finest of fish and chip shops. There’s a couple of tables and chairs outside. If you’re taking your food away, best to take it to the seafront and enjoy the views. It’s only a hundred yards away – but watch for hungry seagulls!
This traditional chippy is popular with visitors but also a place the locals use. Find it against Cleveleys Bus Station, at the seaward end of Rough Lea Road. In the main gateway area to the town it’s only a few yards from the main shopping street.
It certainly maintains its place as the Visit Fylde Coast favourite for a take-away chippy dinner or tea! It’s well documented that Kays is our local here at Visit Fylde Coast. Living in Cleveleys we usually take them away, but here’s our Fish and Chip Friday food review!

Customer Facilities
There are two entrances to Kays Fish and Chips. One to the takeaway (where there’s a small step) and one to the restaurant. Disabled access is provided by means of a ramp entrance to the cafe side of the shop. Customer toilets are also provided off the main restaurant.
Overall
Fish is always freshly cooked to order and piping hot. For me the quantity of food in a small portion is just right. White fish with a crispy batter and fluffy chips, served with a generous portion of peas. Not at all greasy, no funny after taste – and doesn’t leave indigestion behind afterwards!
