Making the Move to being Dog Friendly

Making your business dog friendly can be a great business move. If you’re unsure about whether you should, take a look at how The Venue introduced our four legged friends.

Back in late 2018 they conducted a Dogs in Pubs survey and the response was overwhelming. Many good points were made, all taken into consideration, and the majority seemed to be in favour.

The main worry was around dogs being in the same room whilst people are dining. The Venue has space for the ideal solution, a completely separate doggy dining room in the bar to the rear of the main floor, where the snooker table used to be.

Dogs are now welcome, daily from 11am-6pm. There’s a separate area to dine, for a coffee and cake or a cheeky glass of something stronger. It’s a very popular spot, very well used and popular with dog lovers as well as dog owners!

This new initiative has worked well for The Venue and brought them lots of new customers. Why don’t you adopt their common sense rules and let dogs into your business? Let us know if you do!

Responsible Owners

The majority of dog owners are responsible and the average dog does much less damage in a shop than a wilful child with an ice cream!

Most people will only take their dog onto commercial premises if they know it can be trusted. Whether it’s carried, walking, or in a dog-pram. After all, dog owners don’t want to be shown up in public by their naughty pet.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a bad dog – only bad owners!

Benefits of being a Dog Friendly business

There are over 8 million dogs in the UK. That’s a considerable amount of pets. More to the point it’s a considerable amount of dog owning humans – who could all be spending money in your business.

Dog Friendly Fylde Coast

Around the other Fylde Coast towns there are plenty of businesses who will allow you to come onto their premises with your dog.

We know where some of them are, with the Cleveleys ones listed above. But there must be many more! If you know of somewhere else that isn’t on this list please get in touch and tell us. We want to know of shops, public buildings, hotels and more. Just email jane@theRabbitPatch.co.uk
