Looking for places where you can go with your pooch? Have a look at our list of dog friendly places in Cleveleys. Many people like to take their dog with them when they go off day tripping and sightseeing – after all they’re part of your family and you love them!
Dogs Now Welcome at The Venue
The Venue on Cleveleys seafront conducted a Dogs in Pubs survey in late 2018. Thank you to everyone who took part – they were overwhelmed with the amount of feedback and responses. There were many good points made, they’ve all been taken into consideration and the majority of people seemed to be in favour of this happening.
The main worry was around dogs being in the same room whilst people are dining. The Venue had space for the ideal solution, a completely separate room where dogs are allowed.
The bar to the rear of the main floor has been changed into a dining area with a separate bar to accommodate our four-legged friends. (Where the snooker table used to be).
Dogs are now welcome, daily from 11am-6pm. There’s a separate area to dine, for a coffee and cake or a cheeky glass of something stronger over the festive season.
Please stick to these few regulations to ensure the success and continuation of the facility:
- Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside – However, all dogs must be on a lead, dry and free-from sand upon entering.
- Please do not place your dog (even a small one) on the table, in your lap or on a chair.
- Avoid the three B’s (Barking, Begging and Biting).
- Your furry friend cannot eat off your plate or drink from your glass. We have special bowls just for them.
- Our team are not allowed to touch your pup whilst working – Although we’d really love to!
This new initiative has worked well for The Venue and brought them lots of new customers. Why don’t you adopt their common sense rules and let dogs into your business? Let us know if you do!

Dog Friendly Fylde Coast
Around the Fylde Coast there are a number of businesses who will allow you to come onto their premises with your dog.
We know where a few of them are and Dog Friendly Places in Cleveleys are listed on this page, but there must be many more.
If you know of somewhere else that isn’t on this list please get in touch and tell us. We want to know of shops, public buildings, hotels and more.
Many people bring their dogs with them to Cleveleys. The high street is dotted with people who are baby-sitting their dogs, usually all chatting to each other and passers-by.
The majority of dog owners are responsible and the average dog does much less damage in a shop than a wilful child with an ice cream!
After all, carried or walking, most people would only take their dog onto commercial premises if they knew that they could be trusted – you just wouldn’t show yourself up if your dog did something it shouldn’t do in the middle of a shop.
Remember, there’s no such thing as a bad dog – only bad owners!
* Allow dogs at the time of publication. If in doubt please check first.
Benefits of being a Dog Friendly business
There are over 8 million dogs in the UK. That’s a considerable amount of pets. More to the point it’s a considerable amount of dog owning humans who could all be spending money in your business.
