Dog Friendly Places in Cleveleys

Dog Friendly Places in Cleveleys

Looking for places where you can go with your pooch? Have a look at our list of dog friendly places in Cleveleys. Many people like to take their dog with them when they go off day tripping and sightseeing – after all they’re part of your family and you love them!

Dogs Now Welcome at The Venue

The Venue on Cleveleys seafront recently conducted a Dogs in Pubs survey. Thank you to everyone who took part – they were overwhelmed with the amount of feedback and responses. There were many good points made, they’ve all been taken into consideration and the majority of people seemed to be in favour of this happening.

The main worry was around dogs being in the same room whilst people are dining. The Venue have come up with the ideal solution, a completely separate room, and they’re excited to do a trial run where dogs will be allowed into The Venue.

The bar to the rear of the main floor has been changed into a dining area with a separate bar to accommodate our four-legged friends. (Where the snooker table used to be).

So from Monday 10th December, daily from 11am-6pm, the dog lovers amongst us have a separate area to dine, for a coffee and cake or a cheeky glass of something stronger over the festive season.

Please stick to these few regulations to ensure the success and hopeful continuation of the trial to a more long-term facility.

  • Oh, we do like to be beside the seaside – However, all dogs must be on a lead, dry and free-from sand upon entering.
  • Please do not place your dog (even a small one) on the table, in your lap or on a chair.
  • Avoid the three B’s (Barking, Begging and Biting).
  • Your furry friend cannot eat off your plate or drink from your glass. We have special bowls just for them.
  • Our team are not allowed to touch your pup whilst working –  Although we’d really love to!

Please support The Venue with this initiative – and their common sense rules which could be applied anywhere!

Find out about other dog friendly places on the Fylde Coast.

We know where a few of them are and Dog Friendly Places in Cleveleys are listed on this page, but there must be many more.

If you know of somewhere else that isn’t on this list please get in touch and tell us. We want to know of shops, public buildings, hotels and more.

Many people bring their dogs with them to Cleveleys. The high street is dotted with people who are baby-sitting their dogs, usually all chatting to each other and passers-by.

Responsible Owners

The majority of dog owners are responsible and the average dog does much less damage in a shop than a wilful child with an ice cream!

After all, carried or walking, most people would only take their dog onto commercial premises if they knew that they could be trusted – you just wouldn’t show yourself up if your dog did something it shouldn’t do in the middle of a shop.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a bad dog – only bad owners!

* these shops are believed to allow dogs at the time of publication. If in doubt please check first.
