The community will join together again this year to see Thornton shining bright for the festive season. All Thornton residents are invited to come to this community event and welcome Christmas together.

The Deputy Mayor Michael Barrowclough and the Deputy Mayoress will wish all the the crowds present a Happy Christmas before the big red button is pressed by two children from Thornton’s Primary Schools.

Joined by guests and parents, friends and local residents everyone will listen to the combined school’s choirs sing carols, before tea and mince pies at Baines Endowed School.

If you’re very good, there might be a very special visitor to delight the children….

Thornton Festive Lights are organised by Thornton Action Group in co-operation with Wyre Council.
