The Fylde Tramway Society was founded in 1971 to support the retention of the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway, at a time when the future of the tramway was in serious doubt.
Today, the Fylde Tramway Society has over 400 members with a common interest in the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway.
Throughout the year our members join us at our monthly meetings and on our various tours and events.
For many people, the highlight of being a member is receiving our monthly magazine, the Fylde Tramway News.
The Fylde Tramway News keeps members informed of the developments on the Blackpool and Fleetwood Tramway and trams from the system in preservation. Also included is news on other tramway developments within the UK and the Blackpool Bus fleet.
Articles in the Fylde Tramway News also allow our members to read about other tramways throughout the world.
Monthly meetings take place at 7.30pm at The Wings Club on Victoria Road West in Cleveleys, upstairs in the function room.
Both members and non-members are welcome.

Would YOU be interested in presenting an evening for the Society?
They would be looking for a transport related presentation, perhaps preferably tramways, but certainly not essentially, that should last approx. 2 hours, split into 2 x 1-hour sessions with an interval.
