The seafront SubZero Ice Arena opened in Jubilee Leisure Park in the spring of 2011, after delays caused by the terrible freezing and snowy weather that winter.

Not only is the rink on the seafront, from inside and through the huge floor to ceiling windows, there's even a view of the sea! Plus, there really is something for everyone! From toddlers to grannies, sports people, teenagers and dancers - or maybe you want a party. There are also events and special projects including the Radio Wave Prancing on Ice show.

Saturday night is ice hockey night, and that's an absorbing sport to watch if ever there was one! Fylde Flyers are the pro-team and Wyre Seagulls are one of the recreational teams. With the bar area now open, make a night of it and after the game you can enjoy a spot of ice skating yourself, although maybe not at the same speed!

Inside the building you'll find a cafe where you can have a break and a drink or light snack, plus there's also the Pro-Shop where you can buy your own kit if you skate regularly. Skate hire, of course, is also available.

Upstairs is a function room and bar, which is also available for private hire.

The rink is open 7 days a week, from 5.30am to 9.45pm
