Trial Study on Rossall Beach

10/10 to everyone who worked this out, it in in fact an APRIL FOOL! You might have realised that we have a sense of humour at Visit Cleveleys and we wanted to give you a giggle. We thought this was silly enough to be true, and hope you all enjoyed the joke!
The tourism economy in the UK is worth billions a year and the north west is hoping that its share of the revenue will increase with news of a new project which has been shown to improve beach enjoyment.
The Visit Cleveleys team have got their hands on a memo which indicates trial studies are to begin here to sort the pebbles on the shingle beaches of the UK into colour order. Apparently tests have shown that particularly foreign tourists prefer certain colours of pebbles on the beaches they visit.
The first trial is to be carried out on the northern section of Cleveleys beach just past the cafe, making use of community volunteers and specialised mechanical grading equipment.
