Spring Cleaning at Cleveleys!

Added 29 March 2010
The award winning sea defences at Cleveleys are having a spruce up ready for the opening of the final phase of works and the start of the summer season.
The walls and cream stomework are being jet washed from the Plaza at the end of the high street right up to the cafe, and it's made a big difference, returning the stone to it's original clean cream colour.

The big clean up doesn't stop at the end of the new sea defences, the jet washing has continued right through to the end of the sea wall on Rossall Promenade, and both sides of the wall are being cleaned.
It's made a huge difference, the old wall is now much cleaner and looks more acceptable than it did covered with years of grime.

Some of the old stone blocks left from the construction work have been recycled and used to make benches on the old section of promenade.
As they say 'Reduce, Re-use, Recycle'!
