Shelters soon to appear

I need new glasses! I previously reported that there would be two shelters on the final phase of the promenade, and there are actually THREE!
I think that's a classic case of looking but not seeing!

This picture looks from the Plaza area towards the Blackpool Boundary, at the first of the new shelters which is being constructed.
The legs are coming along nicely, and the scaffolding platform is ready to do the construction work on the roof. It's going to be really posh when it's finished!

This shot looks from the Blackpool boundary at Kingsway along the final phase of the promenade works at Cleveleys, which will be opened at Sea Festival on 4 July.
During last week, scaffolding has been erected to enable the new shelters to be built in the next few weeks. The new ones will be oval - you can see a matching oval line in the sea wall - with seats underneath and supported on 3 legs.
The construction work is complete and now the finishing touches are being installed, including the lighting, other seating and bins etc.
Aren't we lucky to have such a world-class promenade at Cleveleys, that we'll be able to enjoy for many, many years to come!
