Three Awards for Manor Beach
Added 17 December 2011
What a truly wonderful start to the new academic year that Manor Beach Primary School has had!!
We have had three awards this term which we are truly delighted with.
The first of these awards is the 'Primary Quality Mark'.

Miss Mason (back left) and Cllr Andrea Kay (back right) present the Primary Quality Mark
This is a national award which recognises the school's good provision, practice and performance in respect of the 'basic skills' of literacy and numeracy.
This award recognises the school's commitment to continuous improvement to raise standards and to give the children at Manor Beach Primary School a good education. This is a rigorous process in which the school has to be externally assessed. We have worked so hard over the last five years to raise standards and this award recognises this.

The second award that we are really proud of is 'The Leading Parent Partnership Award'.
Once again this is a national award that recognises the school’s commitment to invest in parents and carers to raise the achievement of pupils. Manor Beach Primary School strongly believes that the children get the best outcomes from education when there is an effective partnership between home and school. We have worked really hard to develop these effective partnerships with our parents. This award is clear evidence that we have achieved this particular goal. We will of course continue to build on this success.
The final event that has happened this term of which we are enormously proud is the visit to school by an Ofsted Inspection team.
Three Inspectors paid us a visit on 14th and 15th November 2011. We had not anticipated a visit until after Christmas so it did come as rather a shock when the call came.
In true Manor Beach fashion the whole team (staff, children, parents and governors) all pulled together to show the Inspection team the many improvements we have made since the last full Inspection in May 2009.
The Inspection proved to be a very positive experience for us and we were judged to be a ‘good’ school. We were really delighted about this as it recognised the huge steps forward we have made since the last Inspection when we were judged to be satisfactory.
What really pleased us at this Inspection was that we were judged to be ‘outstanding’ in the extent to which pupils contribute to the school and wider community.
Ofsted November 2011 says:
“Manor Beach is a GOOD school”
“Pupils are proud of their school”
“They (pupils) make an outstanding contribution to the school and wider communities”
At Manor Beach Primary School we aim to be a high achieving inclusive school at the heart of the local community. We strive to ensure children achieve and become well developed individuals.
Thanks to staff, children, parents, governors and the wider community who have helped to make the three achievements a reality.
Well done Manor Beach Primary School. Onwards and upwards !!!!
