We're used to seeing our local lad Alan, keeping
things spick and span along Rossall promenade, but
when it comes to the ultimate beach clean, there's
a new kid on the block.
Allan Smith of Ruttle Construction has been asked
by the local council to remove boulders and other
large items of debris from the beach area along
Rossall Promenade.
Allan said "I didn't just find debris on the surface, I also
discovered a lot of buried debris that could have
caused injury so I decided to do a sweep of the
whole area and have removed buried glass, disposable
barbecues and other items to improve the overall
safety of the beach, while also flattening the access
areas to the beach".
Is it's nice to know that people are prepared to go
that extra mile for the benefit of others who make
use of the beach. Job well done, and we know that
the sea defenses at Rossall are in safe hands.
